Rishika is a Master's student in the Transportation and Infrastructures area at the Lyles School of Civil Engineering from Purdue University. Originally from Hyderabad, India, she obtained a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad. She then pursued a masters in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a specialization in GIS and Transportation planning. Her thesis was titled "Quantifying Equity and Environmental Health in Milwaukee, WI". While in Madison, she worked with Dane County on farmland preservation, farmland tax credits and solar policy, and with the City of Middleton on their Zoning Code Uphaul. Her interests include adoption response to new transportation technologies, public transit and the transportation-energy-health nexus. Outside of work, Rishika enjoys art, reading and video games.
